Memory Palace is a sculptural interactive installation housing a archive of Ambie’s analogue memories, transformed into 3D digital artefacts. Sentimental trinkets and technological gadgets are digitised and streamed across twelve screens within the ‘girl bedroom’.

The audience uses a rotary dial phone to communicate with an online version of Ambie Drew and access her memories, guided by a custodial ‘AI agent’ that monitors and performs the archive. Conversations can branch in multiple directions before the palace prescribes you a trinket and digital fortune.

Drawing on the aesthetics of early Web 2.0, Memory Palace explores memory, identity and the transformation of personal experience into machine-readable data.
